I am a licensed professional wedding & portrait photographer. I am married to my best friend Tamara for over 24 years now, and have two married daughters, Olivia & Jennifer and six wonderful grand children.
My Christian faith is the backbone to who I am. That being said, I'm just a down to earth guy that loves people, and thoroughly enjoys life. What drives me more than anything else is seeing joy, and bringing joy into someone else's life.
When I first went into business as a professional photographer I created my company name as "Western States Photography" knowing that someday I would move from my hometown of Fresno Ca, to Florence Oregon. Having Yosemite and so many other places right in my backyard, my focus then was landscape and nature photography. When I found myself shooting more and more weddings and portrait work, I found the need to have a more personal signature on my work so I changed my business name to David Michael Portraits. That is why you see some of my photos with "Western States Photography" on the bottom.
