• About Myself

  Although I’m a pro­fes­sional pho­tog­ra­pher, I still strive to learn some­thing every day. I study light­ing tech­niques, poses, and read every­thing I can get my hands on. My blog site isn’t just about pho­tog­ra­phy, although I do try to show sam­ples of my work, but it’s also a site to let you into my life and get a glimpse of who I am.
  
  

  You may notice that my name brand­ing on some of my pho­tos say “West­ern States Pho­tog­ra­phy” which is my busi­ness also. In mid 2009 I needed to add a more per­sonal touch to my por­trait work by sign­ing my work with my name, which is David Michael Collins. I have yet to decide if I will keep West­ern States for my land­scape work or sign every­thing David Michael. Maybe some­day I will open that up for dis­cus­sion and get opinions.
